POSITION SUMMARY:

Clinical Administrator for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) consult team that works alongside our Psych consult team. This will be 100% grant funded by the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS). The teams consisting of PA/ NP, Recovery coaches, Social Worker, Administrative support.

The Clinical Administrator Consultant will provide strategic and clinical guidance to the Addiction Consult clinical teams at Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals. The Clinical Administrator will review workflows, processes and patient outcomes and make recommendations for enhancements. Facilitates relationships with other BILH, and community partner entities/departments.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures compliance with professional, accreditation and regulatory standards

  • Is current regarding standards of care established by the profession, regulatory and accreditation bodies and hospital and is able to implement for area of responsibility

  • Ensures that clinical practice is consistent with current standards, regulations, regulatory and accreditation bodies, and hospital policy and procedures

  • Ensures that clinical practice is compliant with accreditation standards, governmental standards and regulations, and law.

  • Establishes systems to monitor compliance with accreditation standards, governmental standards and regulations, and law.

Provides support for clinical practice and patient care delivery

  • Supports and helps implement evidenced-based practice in areas of responsibility

  • Reviews multidisciplinary care to ensure the best possible outcome for patients

  • Collaborates with all medical, nursing and ancillary staff to ensure appropriate quality care and management is provided through a cooperative effort

Process review

  • Reviews and makes recommendations on structures, systems, processes and standards for improved patient care

  • Assists team in problem solving to ensure a seamless integration of services across the continuum of care.

  • Creatively works to achieve measurable, positive outcomes in the department through

design and implementation of effective teams or workgroups

  • Identifies strategies to improve employee clinical and behavioral skills

Performance improvement and safety

  • Contributes to performance improvement and patient/employee safety programs and projects

  • May collaborate on projects/activities with other departments, teams, and task forces to build a team approach to healthcare delivery

  • Works with team to develop strategies to improve patient safety and reduce error
